The conference
was held at "Porto Conte Ricerche" centre
which is located in Tramariglio, in
the North-West of Sardinia. Tramariglio is about 20 km from Alghero and from Fertilia Airport, along one of the
most beautiful stretches of the "Riviera del Corallo": an
enchanting peninsula where nature, history and culture combine to
provide an ideal work environment.
The modern, prestigious complex, owned by
the University of Sassari, has an indoor area of about 10,000 square meters, comprising three independent buildings nestling in lush
greenery, and ample parking facilities. Two of the buildings are
equipped as laboratories, with offices, a library, meeting and video
conference rooms, lecture and teaching halls; the Auditorium, guest
rooms and catering facilities are situated in the third building.
Tramariglio
is only 15 minutes by car from
Alghero-Fertilia Airport, which features daily scheduled flights
from Rome, Milan and London. Weekly flights are available also from
other European cities.
Otherwise
every evening you can find ships which leave from Genoa and arrive to
Porto Torres in the morning (crossing requires 9÷11 hours). Tramariglio is about
42 km from Porto Torres.
